Prerequisite: STAT 535, STAT 554, or equivalent.
Course Description: Principles of analysis of variance and experimental design. Topics include computation and interpretaton of analysis of variance; multiple comparisons; orthogonal contrasts; and design of experiments, including factorial, hierarchical, and split plot designs. Optional topics may include analysis of covariance; partial hierarchical designs; incomplete block designs; principles of blocking and confounding in 2**n experiments; or estimation fo variance components, Computer statistical packages are use to perform computations.
Notes: Offered concurrently with STAT 455. Students may not receive credit for both STAT 455 and STAT 517.
