STAT 673 Statistical Methods for Longitudinal Data Analysis

Prerequisite: STAT 674, or permission of instructor.


Course Description:Principles of design and analysis of longitudinal studies. Topics include retrospective and prospective studies, repeated periodic and continuous surveys, rotating of panel surveys, management of a longitudinal database, estimation of the level and change of population means, and proportions and totals over time. Techniques include classical minimum variance unbiased estimators, time series analysis, and model-based multivariate analysis. Case studies such as the Current Population Survey and the National Crime Survey are presented. ir
