Graduate Certificate in Federal Statistics
This is a 12 credit professional program targeting the updating of skills of practitioners in federal agencies. The federal statistical system is a complex data collection and analysis system that requires a wide variety of multidisciplinary skills for its maintenance. The certificate is intended to respond to the need for broad training in statistics, survey methods, data analysis, geographic information systems, data security, and issues of statistics and public policy. Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree including two courses in calculus and a course in probability or statistics at the 300 level or higher. The minimal requirements would be MATH 113-114 and STAT 344, or equivalent.
